I love me some Rick as much as the next girl, but as an older lady reminded me, "you will always carry what they carry, if not more"

I think it’s a reminder to stop choosing others over yourself before it’s too late. You can be saved from this nightmare.

They’re absolutely soulmates. There's No question. The connection runs too deep, too instinctive, too intertwined to be anything else. Chelsea doesn’t just love Rick—she sees him. All the darkness, the cracks, the weight he carries and she still chooses him. Over and over. And Rick, for all his walls and trauma and pushing her away, always circles back to her. That moment when he finally says, “That’s the plan” That’s not just a turning point but recognition. He knows it’s her. He’s known all along, he just couldn’t let himself say it until the weight was finally gone. If only for that brief moment.

I do agree. I think their relationship is nuanced and he definitely loved her, but at the same time at what end is she supposed to choose another before herself? I don’t know !

The way I got chills all over again when I read “that’s the plan” 😭😭

As a (very) Gemini with a (very) Scorpio, can confirm this is ALSO me. I’ve referred to my relationship as yin and yang so many times (also because I always wear white and he always wears black) but there is a deepness in their connection that just doesn’t make sense and yet makes perfect sense.

Admittedly, there were times where I thought “what is Chelsea getting out of this?” She’s always fixing, helping, loving him — he doesn’t even seem to like her.

Now having seen their full love story (😭) it reminded me that 1) right or wrong, Chelsea feels fulfilled from the love she gives him, she gets pleasure and peace from it. Maybe that’s enough, because… 2) Above all, love isn’t about what you get, it’s about what you give🥹

I found myself asking the same question—what does Chelsea get out of this. And could never find a real answer. This is so perfectly put.

Unconditional love is loving without wanting anything in return. But should we love people unconditionally? Idk!

I recognize that consuming anger. It’s very dangerous, case in point in this series too. You can’t save people from themselves though. It’s hard to watch someone you love crumble, no doubt, but sometimes it’s best to step back and reevaluate.
