As a human, is it possible to not live for others? We are inherently social creatures looking to love and be loved. It's is both my greatest fear and my greatest desire wrapped up into one. I loved this essay because it is an honest portrayal of how we as women pretend to not be the woman that we are because we think it will make us more lovable.

When in reality, the greatest love we can give ourselves is the permission to be who we really are. Sometimes selfish, sometimes creepy, sometimes insecure, sometimes perverted, and always always always sensitive. If the women I share exes with are my mirror, I hope to learn to love every inch of that dirty reflection.

and all we (I) wish is never to feel guilty for thinking (comparing) ourselves that way, it is ok to occasionally, indirectly or subconsciously do this, right? 🥺
